The Soft Strength Within

The Soft Strength Within: 8-Week Journal

This journal is a space to come home to yourself. The Soft Strength Within is not about becoming someone new; it’s about remembering who you already are beneath the noise, expectations, and pressure to be "hard." For too long, strength has been defined as how much you can take, how well you can suppress, how little you need. But real strength, soft strength, is found in your gentleness, your honesty, your stillness, your healing.

Over the next eight weeks, you’ll be guided through themes that help you slow down, listen inward, and grow stronger by honoring what’s tender. Each week invites reflection, affirmation, and the release of what no longer serves you. You’ll face truth with compassion. You’ll reclaim your voice, define your power, and build a life that supports your peace. This is your journey, at your pace. There is no right way to move through this. Some days, you’ll have a lot to say. Other days, just a sentence or a moment of silence may be enough. It all counts. You are enough. Let this be a sacred pause in a world that rarely gives you one.

About the Founder

Jeysonlee Jones is the founder of Strong Roots Collective, a healing-centered initiative rooted in justice, community, and culturally grounded mental health. With a background in HR, education, and ministry, he brings a holistic approach to advocacy that honors both the systems we navigate and the souls we carry.

A preacher’s kid turned minister, Jeysonlee grew up steeped in faith and family—but also witnessed how emotional struggles, especially for Black men, were often silenced. That reality sparked his commitment to creating space for Black men to be fully seen, supported, and empowered.

Strong Roots Collective exists to do just that—offering resources, storytelling, and community that challenge stigma and affirm that tending to our roots is how we heal and grow.
