As society becomes increasingly aware of the importance of mental health, it is essential to ensure that all individuals have access to the support they need. This is particularly true for minority groups who may face unique challenges and stigmas when seeking help. One such group that often faces barriers to mental health care is Black men.

A new initiative, Strong Roots Collective, has emerged to address this gap in mental health support specifically tailored for Black men. By offering culturally relevant resources and a supportive community, this business aims to empower Black men to prioritize their mental well-being and seek the help they deserve. Strong Roots Collective is more than just a mental health service provider - it is a movement dedicated to building a community that values and prioritizes mental health. Through advocacy, awareness initiatives, and providing accessible resources, this business is working towards eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black male community. By creating a safe space for Black men to share their experiences, seek support, and access professional help, Strong Roots Collective is paving the way for empowered communities where mental well-being is seen as a crucial component of success. This initiative recognizes the unique challenges that Black men face in seeking mental health care and is committed to breaking down barriers and providing the support they need. In a society that often neglects the mental health needs of minority groups, it is inspiring to see initiatives like Strong Roots Collective leading the way in creating equitable access to mental health support. By fostering a community rooted in healing and strength, this business is not only changing the conversation around mental health but also changing lives.

Jeysonlee Jones is the founder of Strong Roots Collective, a healing-centered initiative rooted in justice, community, and culturally grounded mental health. With a background in HR, education, and ministry, he brings a holistic approach to advocacy that honors both the systems we navigate and the souls we carry.

A preacher’s kid turned minister, Jeysonlee grew up steeped in faith and family—but also witnessed how emotional struggles, especially for Black men, were often silenced. That reality sparked his commitment to creating space for Black men to be fully seen, supported, and empowered.

Strong Roots Collective exists to do just that—offering resources, storytelling, and community that challenge stigma and affirm that tending to our roots is how we heal and grow.
